weird that bottom of feet don't exist

b3orn 4 hours ago | parent

Even weirder that it doesn't show the lungs or they belong to some other group than the rest of the respiratory system.

On iOS’s preview browser, rotating the object causes the zoom to reset. Or maybe it’s scrolling on the page? Perhaps the preview overlay is resizing the windows slightly and that triggers a camera reset. It’s very cool but close to useless if I can’t control the camera.

Seems like some pretty obvious errors in this. But a cool interactive demo.

very cool, but no matter how I twist it, when zooming I zoom only on the testicles.

Astra slop

I knew it was AI when I saw the infamous dot in the demo page, sometimes it blinks, other times it pulses, but it’s always there!

smusamashah 5 hours ago | parent

What dot?

Developer: Wow, that's awesome, anatomy is now solved.

Doctors: I have trouble even starting to describe how not even wrong the slop generated organs are, and how dangerous would it be for someone to learn on this thing.

marcianx 7 hours ago | parent

What makes you believe the organs are AI generated? It says it's using the "BodyParts3D 4.0, an adult male reference anatomy", and the information page for it [1] says nothing about it being AI generated.

You're better off using a pirated copy of Netter's than this imo.

raincole 4 hours ago | parent

Except it's not AI generated. The interactive interface is, but the meshes are not.

Another evidence that human slop is the weakest link of the chain :)

Love seeing the proportions and configurations, on my phone, no less! I removed the arteries and veins to more easily click the on the organs, and the liver vanished! It seems to be classified under the vein system, whereas I'd more closely classified it in my mind under the digestive system. I'm sure the BodyParts3D classification experts know what they are doing better than I. Having one's assumptions contradicted like this, sure has a way of making a new connection stick.

ha damn Astra made the same for my bike (TDM 850) https://punkx.org/tdm850 even posted it to HN but didnt pick up.

I think its amazing to be able to do such vizualizations in 30 minutes or so.

This is approaching Tony Stark making badassium level of tooling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ddk9ci6geSs

lukan 5 hours ago | parent

That looks good, but have you checked whether it is correct?

jackdoe 5 hours ago | parent

I am working on changing the bushings and seals on the forks, and the diagrams are correct, I have them completely disassembled, and tbh I dont think I would've been able to have good mental model of them just from the manual.

The brakes also seem correct and the electrical as well, the starter relay relay assembly and fuses at least seem correct. I have not open the engine itself yet so cant confirm. But I will do a shim check soon, so I will let you know :)

Thanks!

(I am also amazed by the possibilities we have now)

This is missing a lot of critical features seen in apps like Complete Anatomy. a) Proximal/Distal Attachments b) innervation c)Arterial Supply d) Actions of Skeletal Muscles. Having the same description for all skeletal muscles is amateurish e) Similar issue with brain as well, no mention of functions of lobes, gyri, etc Additionally the striation of the muscles are poor quality.

Pearse 2 hours ago | parent

The models are lifted from an open source 3d model of human anatomy.

I am one of the 3D modeler's working on complete anatomy and I agree, It's a nice demo but it feels half baked. There's no real love in it. I feel like so many of the AI projects are like that, shiny but lacking polish and love.

crispycas12 2 hours ago | parent

I would like to thank you for your work. It helped me tremendously when I took anatomy and I continue to use it as a reference.

Pearse 34 minutes ago | parent

Really glad to hear that, the whole team works really hard to build something with value.

Well done on getting through the courses.

Looks like it was misattributed as CC BY 4.0 but it should be CC BY-SA 2.1 Japan

zcw100 1 hour ago | parent

You don't need to call it amateurish. It's free.

I think that vibe-coding these kinds of education tools is massively unhelpful. There are some crazy hallucinated claims in here that completely invalidate the purpose of this project.

For example, the flexor retinacula (the "carpal tunnel" on your wrists) are listed as sensory organs that assist with hearing and sight.
