Pro Wrestling is a global phenom, it's enduring popularity has spread to all corners of civilization. Africa, China, India, the Middle East: they all love pro wrestling.

Tough guys in bright costumes bopping each other on the head has universal appeal, it transcends all language barriers.

I prefer the punny term "Soup opera". (It's full of supes.) It doesn't need to be gendered, women love many of the superhero movies and TV shows, too.

Also, I say it with affection. I love my soup operas. Our culture has come to have negative connotations to the term "soap opera" and also to the term "wrestling", because of the association with lowest common denominator storytelling, but it is harder than it looks and mass appeal isn't something to scoff at.

Seems like a very choosy headline, given the rest of his comments. It's a tiny 13 sentence article, and more interesting than the headline. Unsurprising which line they picked for the headline, but disappointing.
