Notably they were able to, in one update, essentially double performance and cut load times to a quarter of what they were while also maintaining both backwards and forwards compatibility for save files and without breaking 99% of the mods on the workshop. Genuinely impressive feat.

They clearly weren’t, given that LLMs are just stochastically parroting statistical probabilities. I’ve checked ChatGPT when it came out in 2022 and it was immediately obvious to me that the technology was never going to be useful IRL. I’m not surprised that to this day we haven’t seen any evidence of real world projects built with language models. The only creatures dumber than LLMs are the LLM users, stuck in a persistent incurable psychosis, convinced that they are “getting stuff done” while producing heaps of code that barely compiles, if even that. They come in droves, and when asked “is this productivity explosion you speak of in the room with us right now”, they inevitably point to their 97 GitHub projects created since August, like that’s any proof. In my day, this rate of writing code was considered mediocre. Ken Thompson wrote Unix in 3 weeks. Get off my lawn.

LLM use is normalized in just about every other area except in very fringe nerd groups who oppose it like it was a interdimensional threat.
No reason to mention using it.

Wow, that's really cool! And rather unexpected (at least from my side, but I'm also not really keeping up with RimWorld news).
And then, at the end of the announcement, it says:
"RimWorld isn’t the only game on Waylith. We’re working on something new! It may be a little while before we can share more details, but we couldn’t resist telling you."
